Résumé
Dr. Yves Wild, born in 1964, studied Marine Engineering, and followed that up with a doctorate on "Controlled Atmospheres on Ships". He has been an independent consultant since 1993 and has provided consulting services to a wide range of customers, including insurance companies, shipping corporations, shipyards and operators of cooling plants, focusing on the design of and operation of cooling systems, potential faults, as well as on risk analysis and the assessment of damage claims.
 
In 1994, he was appointed by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce to act as a loss adjustor in the field of auxiliary equipment on ships, cooling systems and systems for creating a controlled atmosphere. In 2001, he was publicly appointed and sworn in as loss adjuster in the field of cooling technology.

Since 1997, Dr. Wild has headed up the working group / committee on "Ventilation, climate and cooling" in the Schiffbautechnische Gesellschaft e. V. (German Society for Maritime Technology). In May 1999, he was awarded the "Bronzene Denkmünze" (Bronze Medal) "for Services to German Marine Engineering".
